My name is Ted Bigelow and this web site is part of my ministry. I’ve been privileged to preach the gospel in most of the continents of the world, both in churches and out in public. As well, I’ve taught pastors and aspiring pastors at seminaries in the USA, South Africa, Greece, and Ukraine. I hold several theological degrees, including a doctorate, from The Master’s Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
The Church’s One Foundation is dedicated to educating Christians about schism. It is offered in the hope of calling gifted men and their churches to apostolic ecclesiology.
Until Spring of 2015 I ministered in Connecticut, USA, but took a sabbatical following a family crisis. Presently I am seeking the Lord’s will for my future pastoral ministry, but while I wait on the Lord I am committed to honor the qualifications for church leadership given by the Lord Jesus Christ in 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
I am the blessed husband of Deena and father of four. We also love our two sons-in-law and two grandchildren.
To understand how the apostles call us out of schism, consider reading the following posts in this order:
- Jesus Christ and the apostles defined “church” (ἐκκλησία) for us with only two meanings: local and universal.
- Likewise, the apostle Paul defined the “body of Christ” with only two meanings: local and universal.
- He also defined schism as a local body of Christ divided into two or more churches.
- When a city had more than one church of believers, Paul decreed this: “appoint elders in every city.”
